SPICY MARGARITAS
Spicy margaritas just might be my favorite cocktail. These are so easy to make for a party or even for taco Tuesday! Bring a pitcher of these to your next get together and your friends will think you’re Ina Garten. Here’s how to make them:
MARGARITA INGREDIENTS:
1.5 cups tequila blanco (I like Espolon)
3/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
3/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
3/4 cup club soda
3 ounces simple syrup
1 or 2 jalapenos, sliced
SWEET SPICY RIM SALT INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon Tajin seasoning
1 tablespoon coarse kosher salt
1 tablespoon sugar
MAKE THE MARGARITA:
Add all of the ingredients to a pitcher and stir.
Rub a lime wedge around the edge of a glass and dip the rim into the sweet, spicy salt.
Carefully add ice to the glass.
Pour in your margarita, garnish with a jalapeno slice and enjoy!
Take these to the next level by adding 3/4 cup of fresh fruit juice. My favorite is blended watermelon or pineapple. Strawberry is so good too. Literally anything will work. Substitute the club soda for coconut La Croix = pina colada margarita. Yum.
